Dear CAPCSD Member,

Welcome to May!

I want to extend a huge thank you to the Conference Planning Committee: Leanna Lawrence (chair), Donna Pitts, Erica Williams, Heidi Verticchio, Kimmerly Harrell, and Michael Bamdad for their amazing work on the conference this year. Many thanks also go out to Mandie McKenzie, Ned Campbell, Michelle Reyes, and Colleen Schneider for their work behind the scenes to make everything go so well. And to Tricia Montgomery, the Vice President of Professional Development, for her leadership in planning and executing the event.

Join me in congratulating our newest members of the CAPCSD Board of Directors. Tricia Montgomery, President-Elect, Ashley Harkrider, Treasurer, and Heidi Verticchio, Vice President for Professional Development. Their terms will begin July 1, 2024.

Annual Conference Recap

From new plenary session formats to new Solution-Focused Dialogue sessions to new networking opportunities to our speakers and our attendees, you made our 44th Annual Conference a success!

We welcomed over 540 of you to New Orleans for professional development and networking!

Save the dates April 23-26, 2025 for the 45th Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA.

Thank you to our sponsors for helping make this conference possible!

Virtual Conference

Thank you to all who joined the CAPCSD Virtual Conference streamed live from New Orleans! We had over 130 attendees register for the two days.

We received very positive feedback for those of you that choose to attend the virtual conference. We thank you for your feedback, time and dedication to CAPCSD!

We also want to thank our speakers and moderators for their time and resources shared with us!

Registration for the on-demand version of the Virtual Conference will open around June 1, 2024.

THANK YOU for making a virtual conference possible. Virtual conferences are important for so many reasons, including families with young children and limited support, individuals with disabilities or illnesses for whom travel is prohibitive, and individuals who are caregivers for people for whom extended absences are unsafe. Additionally, the ability to have live captioning and control over acoustics in a virtual environment helps those of us with hearing loss greatly. ~ Virtual Attendee
