Dear Members,
Here’s to early Spring. Thank you, Punxsutawney Phil!
I’m counting down the days until the CAPCSD Conference in New Orleans! If you are unable to participate in person, check out the live virtual offerings. The conference planning committee has been working hard to create these innovative, remote opportunities for members.
This month CAPCSD has two great webinars planned. We will host “Assisting Programs in Developing an Assistants’ Program” on February 7th and “SCOTUS Decision on Affirmative Action: Implications for CSD Programs” on February 20th. We hope these webinars are informative and timely for the work you do at your university.
I hope admission decisions and student recruitment goes well for all.
Happy leap year month,
Jenn

Committee Highlight - Membership
|
The Membership Committee acts as a central hub, championing clear communication of the organization's vision, mission, and core values to all members. By actively evaluating the needs and interests of member programs, the Committee works to foster a responsive environment, as well as address concerns and needs. The Membership Committee also serves as a bridge, facilitating connections between programs and valuable resources, while simultaneously advancing the profession and individual professional development through engaging social media platforms.
As the Membership Committee, we are thrilled to announce the successful execution of one the committee initiatives. In 2023, CAPCSD welcomed SLPA programs, aimed at not only expanding our membership but also elevating the level of support we provide to our community. Through the SLPA programs, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment for all, and to strengthening our collective impact.
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce the revitalization of our Facebook page, breathing new life into our digital presence. Additionally, in our continuous efforts to connect with you, we have also launched our official LinkedIn and Instagram pages. By expanding our presence across these platforms, we aim to create a more diverse and inclusive community, providing you with valuable insights, updates, and engaging content.
We invite you to join us in building a community that thrives on collaboration and mutual growth. Together, let's forge new connections and enhance the reach of our support network! Also, please follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram to stay connected and be part of our exciting journey!
The Membership Committee is co-chaired by Matthew Carter and Samantha Ghali who are supported by Elizabeth Eernisse, Rachel Glade, Nia Johnson, Chenell Loudermill, Vanessa Mueller, Margaret Sudimack, and Erica Williams.
