Serving as an excellent mentor to Ph.D. students is crucial for the future of our discipline. Many of us can think of examples of both "good" and "bad" mentoring from our own graduate education experiences. However, there are strategies for mentorship that should be considered regardless of our past. This webinar addresses questions such as: How does good mentorship work? How do I promote good mentorship? And, what are some examples of good mentorship for Ph.D. students? Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share strategies for success in this 60-minute session.

Bio

Lizbeth's long-term research aim is to identify efficient and effective language interventions for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, including children with primary language impairment, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, or autism spectrum disorder. She has built a research program focused on developing new child language intervention techniques, better understanding the language profiles of children and adolescents with differing neurodevelopmental disorders, and measuring intervention outcomes of individuals with different language and cognitive profiles.
