Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Piedmont University invites applications for a 9-month Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank beginning August 2024. Piedmont University is a teaching-focused institution with small class sizes. The university culture provides opportunities for the scholarship of teaching and learning, student mentorship, and clinical scholarship. The position includes opportunities for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in areas of specialization, supervising students on campus in the Piedmont University Speech and Language Clinic and engaging in scholarly activity and service to the department, college, and university at large.
Founded in 1897, Piedmont University is a private, comprehensive liberal arts university with an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students at campuses in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Piedmont University is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is the perfect mix of small-town ease and access to metropolitan areas (e.g., Athens, Gainesville).
To be considered, applicants will hold a terminal degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field; however, exceptional A.B.D. candidates will also be considered with an expected completion of their doctoral degree before May 2025.
- Doctorate degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Communication Disorders and Sciences (or closely related discipline)
- MS/MA/MEd in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
