Kean faculty members are recognized for teaching distinction, scholarship and service. We are excited to grow our faculty and invite applications for academic year 2024-2025. Faculty positions are ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignments at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective for the fall 2024 semester. Teaching assignments may be assigned at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations – Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands or for Kean Online and may include day, evening and weekend courses. Evening hours are required for teaching graduate course assignments.

All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or creative and performance activity.  Participation in curriculum development, student advisement and service at the departmental, college, university and community level is required.  Proficiency in a Learning Management System is also required, consistent with University guidelines.

College of Health Professions and Human Services, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Multiple Positions)

Communication Sciences and Disorders - to teach a range of undergraduate, MA and doctoral courses in the field of communication sciences and disorders with a focus on speech-language pathology and related sciences. The positions may include active participation in our Center for Communication Disorders Clinic.  Expertise in medical speech language pathology, aphasia, cognition, fluency or voice is desired for the speech language pathology position. The positions require performing other duties associated with university faculty positions in addition to teaching.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited program (ex. Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology or the equivalent is required. Current New Jersey State licensure; CCC-SLP; university-level teaching experience; and an established research agenda is preferred.  Recent graduates and ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2024. A robust research agenda, past and future as well as clinical skills are highly desired.
