Assistant/Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology
The University of South Florida (USF) Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders invites applications for a 9-Month ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE Professor in Speech-Language Pathology. We especially encourage Advanced Assistant Professors as well as mid-career Associate Professors with a history of research funding to apply. Successful applicants will demonstrate a clear research agenda, a history of research productivity, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to mentoring doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows, and early career faculty, commensurate with rank. Responsibilities of the position include scholarship, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, student mentoring, and service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
We are especially interested in the following research areas in speech-language pathology: Childhood speech (e.g., childhood apraxia of speech, articulation/phonological disorders, speech development in children with hearing loss and/or cochlear implants), childhood language (e.g., cultural and linguistic differences/disparities in child language and literacy, language development in children with hearing loss and/or cochlear implants, school-age language and literacy), developmental differences (e.g., autism, educational support for children with speech/language/hearing differences), specialized interventions for children (e.g., AAC, MMST), child feeding and swallowing.
