Assistant Professor, Adult Neurogenics Faculty Position
Assistant Professor, Adult Neurogenics Faculty Position: Governors State University, Department of Communication Disorders, a CAA-accredited program, invites applicants for a nine-month Assistant Professor, tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2023, available until filled. Minimum Qualifications: doctorate in Speech-Language pathology or related field but will consider ABD candidates. ASHA certification in speech-language pathology and eligibility for Illinois licensure is desirable. Applicants should demonstrate potential for conducting research and grant writing in areas of interest. Applicants must have the ability to teach undergraduate/graduate courses, supervise students in clinical practicum, advise graduate students, and serve on department, college, and university committees. Teaching and clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: neuroanatomy, adult language and cognition, motor speech disorders; also, expertise in bilingual/multicultural issues in speech-language pathology is desirable. The program serves both part-time and full-time graduate students. All clinical experiences are community-based and include culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
