Assistant Professor - Department of Communicative Disorders
The Department of Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor proposed to begin August 1, 2025. Expectations of the successful applicant include contributing to the department through teaching and mentoring in PhD, MS, BA programs, supervision of specialty clinics, and development of a productive clinical research agenda. Duties require assigned teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs. Additional duties include mentoring and academic advising particularly at the undergraduate level.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be either ABD (All But Dissertation) or hold an earned doctorate in Communicative Disorders or related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have already completed their doctoral education. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for Louisiana State Licensing is required. The position requires, at minimum, an academic record consistent with a beginning Assistant Professor. Experience with doctoral education is preferred. Potential to develop excellence in teaching, mentoring, engagement and service within the department, college, university, and professional levels is expected.
