Assistant Professor

JOB PURPOSE:   

The Division of Communication Disorder’s mission is to advance the science behind practice, develop practice ready speech-language pathologists to serve the communication needs of individuals from all backgrounds, and to elevate diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession. The successful candidate will contribute to these efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The University of Wyoming’s Division of Communication Disorders is seeking an Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology.   This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. Primary responsibilities include:  teaching, service, and sustaining a research program in areas of interest.  On campus presence is required for teaching and other duties. Salary and benefits are competitive, and start-up package is excellent.  

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Earned doctorate in speech-language pathology or related discipline and evidence of potential for independent research productivity and publications. 
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.   

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Experience with medical speech-language pathology or adult neurogenic populations strongly preferred, but other areas of expertise will be considered.
