Assistant Professor (tenure-track) is sought to teach, and maintain an active research program involving undergraduate and graduate students, seeking external funding, advising students, and providing service to the institution. The individual will contribute to the collegial culture of the department. Collaborative opportunities are available within the University in areas such as gerontology, psychology, nursing, engineering, and neuroscience. University resources are available for research start-up funds, faculty development, and supporting effective teaching.

Minimum Qualification: An earned research doctorate (PhD, EdD) in the area of communication sciences and disorders or a closely related field by date of appointment. Applicants must hold clinical certification (e.g., CCC-SLP or international equivalent).

Desired Qualifications: Consideration may be given to candidates with expertise in AAC, adult neurogenic disorders (including dysphagia, motor speech, cognitive communication, and/or language disorders), or multilingualism.
