Clinical Associate/Full Professor: The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN is seeking to hire a Director of Outpatient Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology in a 12-month non-tenure track clinical faculty position. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred) in speech-language pathology, ASHA certification, and eligibility for licensure in Tennessee.

This position is for a candidate who is a clinician-scientist with administrative and clinical experience in an outpatient pediatric speech-language pathology clinic setting. Preference will be given to candidates with an expertise in augmentative and alternative communication, autism spectrum disorder, bilingualism, specific language impairment, or speech sound disorders. Teaching experience in a postsecondary educational setting is also preferred as classroom and clinical teaching opportunities may be available.

The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences is housed on the main medical center campus with multiple satellite clinics in the Nashville metropolitan area. The division of Outpatient Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology includes an interdisciplinary clinical staff of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, teachers of the deaf, and hearing and speech technicians. Overall, our busy clinical enterprise in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences sees approximately 85,000 patient visits annually. Our academic programs are CAA accredited, and the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology programs are highly ranked (#1) by US News & World Report.
