POSITION SUMMARY: Twelve-month, open-rank, tenure-track or clinical faculty position to serve as the Program Director for the developing Speech-Language Pathology Doctorate (SLPD) program. The Program Director will take the lead in designing the courses, curriculum, and overall structure of the SLPD program. The Director will work collaboratively with the Program Director of the accredited entry-level MS-SLP program. The new SLPD program at Moravian University will be offered as a hybrid, on-line program with focused in-person residency experiences at the institution.

Preferred start date is June 2024. Start date is negotiable, but no later than August 2024.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and direct the Speech Language Pathology Doctorate Program.

The individual will be proficient in on-line learning platforms, hybrid learning, and on-line andragogy, as well as experienced in educating adult learners.

The individual will teach and develop courses within the SLPD program and, as applicable, across the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and College of Health.

Faculty in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the College of Health are expected to collaborate in team-teaching within the program(s), participate in interprofessional education across the School and College, and assist in all aspects of program design, development, implementation, assessment, and administration.

The individual will work collaboratively with the MS-SLP Program director to envision a comprehensive educational pathway for Speech-Language Pathology at the University.

Preference will be given to individuals with both face-to-face and on-line teaching experience, as well as clinical supervision experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Earned research doctorate (e.g. PhD, EdD, DSc) or clinical doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology (CScD or SLPD) or related field required.

Meets or exceeds standards for licensure a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.

Minimum of five years, full-time practice experience in Speech-Language Pathology.

Evidence of successful teaching experience at the college level.

Evidence of curriculum development.

Evidence of on-line teaching experience.

Evidence of successful scholarship and sustained scholarly agenda (for candidates interested in a tenure-track appointment).

Demonstrated engagement and service to the Speech-Language Pathology profession preferred.
