
Research Faculty - Tenure-track in SLP
The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at East Tennessee State University is recruiting for a full-time 12-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Research Professor in Speech-Language Pathology; the area of interest/expertise related to communication sciences and disorders is open. The position requires an active research program with current or clear potential for extramural funding, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and service within the ETSU and professional communities. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate-level courses in Speech-Language Pathology.
The ideal candidate will be expected to initiate and maintain an active and productive research program, and to promote the visibility of the research enterprise at ETSU. The Office of Research and Sponsored Program Administration (ORSPA) at ETSU provides consultations and mentorship to faculty and student researchers, internal funding mechanisms, database access to external funding opportunities, and opportunities for student engagement. In addition, the Department of ASLP has experienced research mentors and a structured writing group.
Candidates with demonstrated skills or potential in one or more of the following areas will be given priority.
- Knowledge and experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research design/methods and evaluation methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in Community Based Participatory Research
- Knowledge and experience in measuring the impact of interprofessional education on collaborative practice and patient outcomes

- A terminal academic degree (e.g. Ph.D., EdD) in Speech-Language Pathology or a research-focused related discipline. ABD with strong research potential will be considered

- Experience in a collaborative and interprofessional research model.
