Carlow University invites applications for Adjunct Audiology Faculty position in the NEW Master of Science Program in Speech-Language Pathology, scheduled to be launched in the Fall 2021. This is a Fall and Spring semester appointment with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2021. 


Responsibilities: This appointment will primarily be responsible for teaching coursework in the areas of aural rehabilitation and hearing measurement, coordinating hearing screening opportunities in the local Pittsburgh area, and supervising/designing the aural rehabilitation clinical skills experience and audiology practicum experience for matriculating speech-language pathology students. A willingness to provide mentorship to student research is desirable. The faculty member will have an opportunity to make contributions to the overall program design is expected to support the university, college, and program missions and visions. 


We seek innovative candidates with the following qualifications: •AuD is required, PhD in audiology is preferred. ABD applicants are eligible to apply. •Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) is required; •Licensure, or eligible for licensure, in Pennsylvania; •Demonstrate a minimum of 2 hours of professional development in clinical education in accordance with the new 2020 speech-language pathology certification standards; •Experience with interprofessional collaborative education/practice, online education, innovative learning platforms (e.g. high technology simulation, use of standardized patients) and pedagogical methodologies, accreditation and certification standards, grant-writing, and research development preferred.
