The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University in New Jersey is seeking an individual with an earned doctoral degree in Audiology/Hearing Science for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin September 2021. The Doctor of Audiology program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of ASHA. Expertise should include ability to teach and mentor students in some of the following areas: psychoacoustics, hearing science, evoked potentials, medical audiology. instrumentation, cochlear implants.
The department offers a Doctor of Audiology, Au.D., a Master of Arts, M.A., in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., in Communication Sciences & Disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS Required: Ph.D. or Au.D. in audiology or hearing science. College teaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to social, economic, environmental, and racial justice. Preferred: CCC-A and eligibility for NJ State Licensure. Ability to mentor students in applied clinical research projects. Understanding of Audiology Accreditation and Certification Standards. Supervision of graduate students in research.
