Assistant / Associate Professor of Audiology


The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking a full-time tenure-track audiologist with a doctoral degree (research or professional) to join our faculty. The candidate must be knowledgeable about the full scope of audiology practice to be able to develop a professional doctoral (i.e., Au.D.) program in audiology. The candidate must have experience teaching audiology courses in higher education, either at the undergraduate or graduate level, or both. Preference will be given to research-focused applicants with grand funding in place or currently working on a grant, and a record of professional experience in the field of audiology.

The successful candidate will develop and Au.D. program in audiology while teaching undergraduate courses in audiology and aural rehabilitation, and supervising speech-language pathology graduate students in audiology practicum. The candidate will engage in research or scholarly activity in their area(s) of interest and provide service to the department, university, and profession. The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is in a transitionary period as it moves toward R1 research institution status.
