The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Clinical Professor in Audiology. This position is a non-tenure eligible, clinical position for an audiologist with an AuD or PhD degree. Candidate must be professionally licensed—or eligible for licensure—in audiology in Kansas, have the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), and be eligible to hold a Kansas Hearing Aid Dispensing license. Three years of clinical experience in hearing aid dispensing including use of electroacoustic measurements is preferred.

Responsibilities will include supervising students during their clinical rotations in the Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and surrounding Wichita area, and teaching two graduate-level amplification courses (one fall, one spring). A willingness to mentor student research (one student per cohort) is desirable. Candidate will be expected to work with students, staff, and clients of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. Candidate must demonstrate strong, effective communication (oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and counseling skills.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is housed within the College of Health Professions, and offers the BA, MA, AuD, and PhD degrees. The state-of-the-art Cassat Clinic provides both speech-language pathology and audiology diagnostic and therapy services.

Wichita has vibrant music, art, and theater offerings, as well as a wide range of sporting venues. The cost of living is affordable and commuting time within the city is reasonable.
