DISCIPLINE Speech-Language Pathology TYPE Faculty

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position with an anticipated start date in August 2019 or January 2020. Position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, clinical supervision of graduate students, service and research. Attractive benefits package and research support are available.


• Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Expertise in at least one of the areas of AAC, adult neurogenic language and cognitive disorders, craniofacial disorders, voice disorders, and speech sound disorders.
• Supervision: Supervise graduate clinicians providing speech-language pathology services in the University Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic.
• Research: Ability to conduct research/scholarly endeavors, including evidence of securing external grants. There is opportunity to direct graduate and undergraduate student research.
• Service: Involvement in departmental/university/community service. Advise undergraduate students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Earned doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or in a closely related field is required; ABD candidates will be considered for an initial appointment.
• CCC-SLP preferred
• SLP Wisconsin licensure or eligibility required; license must be maintained during employment.
• The successful candidate will maintain a standard of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service as outlined by the UWRF Faculty and Staff Handbook.
