Position Title: Assistant or Early Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology
Position Description: The Department of Speech Pathology at Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant or early Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. with a focus on medically-based Speech-Language Pathology related disorders in both adult and pediatric populations including neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia, voice, and augmentative/alternative communication. The successful applicant will be able to teach all levels of both graduate and undergraduate courses. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Successful applicants will 1) demonstrate the ability to develop and teach classes to undergraduate and graduate students; 2) support clinical supervision and clinical training of graduate and undergraduate students; 3) mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students; and 4) participate in service activities for the Department of Speech Pathology, University, and their discipline. An ideal candidate will be dedicated to excellence in teaching; will have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and will have demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students.
