The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at Loyola University Maryland (LUM) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in adult communication disorders to begin in July 2022. We are looking for a candidate committed to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education at a dynamic liberal arts university who can continue a productive research program.
The candidate's teaching responsibilities will include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate program in the department of SLHS for a total of 18 credits, which is typically three courses in the fall and three courses in the spring. The candidate must hold a certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland. The ideal candidate should have research/teaching expertise and interest in one or more of the following areas: cognitive communication, aphasiology, adult neurogenics.. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of research productivity. Experience with online and hybrid teaching is preferred.
