The Department of Communication Disorders at the State University at New Paltz invites applications for a 10 month tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall of 2023. The primary responsibility is the teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses in communication disorders. The candidate is also expected to conduct a student-centered research program, advise undergraduate and/or masters students, and to participate in departmental and university service. A commitment to quality teaching that integrates clinical and classroom experiences and focuses on evidence-based practice is a priority. Qualifications: Required:
• Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or Speech and Hearing Sciences.
• Strong ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.

• Area of specialization is open, but expertise in neurogenic communication disorders and/or swallowing disorders is preferred.
• ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for NYS licensure in SLP
