Applications are invited for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences at Boston University. Qualifications include an earned doctorate with research and teaching expertise in the broad area of pediatric disorders (including speech production, motor speech disorders, fluency, language, cognition, voice, resonance, feeding or swallowing) and a strong interest in teaching and research.  Expertise in cultural/linguistic diversity is highly desired. Clinical certification is preferred, but not required. Priority will be given to candidates with a successful record of or strong potential for obtaining external support for their research programs. Start date is September 1st, 2022.


The Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences department offers a B.S. degree program, an M.S. degree program in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Ph.D. degree program in the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.  There are on-site speech-language pathology clinics, as well as affiliated clinics at the Boston University Medical Campus, and on-site state-of-the-art research laboratories.  In addition, the Boston area includes many highly regarded medical and educational institutions and numerous possibilities for collaborative and interdisciplinary activities.  Additional information is available at https://www.bu.edu/sargent/.
