Worcester State University's Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders has one opening for a tenure-track, full-time 9-month faculty position to begin September 1, 2022. The search committee is interested in interviewing candidates who have expertise in one of the following two areas:

  1.  Audiology: The candidate must have an earned doctoral degree (Ph.D., conferred by September 1, 2022) with a preferred expertise in the area of aural rehabilitation. Desirable qualifications include an interest in teaching topics related to research, professional practices, and aural rehabilitation; mentoring student research; and in developing specialty clinical programs related to pediatric and/or adult (re)habilitation; or 
  2. Child Language Disorders: The candidate must have an earned doctoral degree (Ph.D., conferred by September 1, 2022) with an expertise in the area of child language disorders. Candidates with expertise in alternative and augmentative communication are especially welcome to apply. Desirable qualifications include an interest in teaching topics related to child language disorders, research, and professional practices; mentoring student research in the candidate's area of specialization; and developing specialty clinical programs. 

The successful candidate will be expected to serve the department and university on a variety of committees and conduct research within their area of expertise. Collaborative research within and across departments (such as Special Education, Occupational Therapy, and others) is encouraged.

Requirements:

  1. Ph.D. conferred by September 1, 2022
  2. Certificate of Clinical Competence
  3. Eligible for Massachusetts professional state licensure
