DISCIPLINE Speech-Language Pathology

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Arkansas invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position.  Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Women and individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  More information about the department and its programs can be found at www.uca.edu/csd.

Preference will be given to individuals with teaching/research interests in the areas of adult neurogenic language disorders, cognitive disorders, pediatric feeding and swallowing, voice, cultural and linguistic diversity, or AAC. Other areas of expertise will be considered for outstanding candidates.

Responsibilities in this speech-language pathology only department include teaching undergraduate and graduate students; development of a dynamic research program; clinical supervision of master’s students; and service to the department and university.  The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is part of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences.

A PhD or EdD is required (ABD considered for outstanding candidates) in speech-language pathology, speech and hearing science, communication sciences and disorders, or a closely related field. CCC-SLP and eligibility for Arkansas licensure is also required.
