Biola University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank to participate in the B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology

Responsibilities: This position consists of a 9-unit academic load with a 3 unit course release for clinical supervision, research, and mentoring students per semester beginning in the Fall of 2022. This position will provide students with academic advising and guidance, serve on various campus committees, and participate in departmental activities. Preferred candidates will possess clinical and teaching experience in the area of medical speech pathology, with an emphasis in the assessment and treatment of voice disorders and/or motor speech disorders. ASHA certification and California state licensure are required. Preference will also be given to candidates with research experience and publication record.

Ph.D., SLP.D., or ED.D. in communication sciences and disorders or related fields required. ABD for terminal degree will be considered. The candidate must possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, with a dedication to outstanding teaching, scholarship, and service. Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is essential, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
