Assistant Professor - Speech Language Pathology
The Department of Communication Disorders is seeking to fill a full-time 9-month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2019. The successful candidate will provide undergraduate and graduate classroom education in the Communication Disorders department (2/2 teaching load), engage in scholarly work - including publication of original research; grant-writing and/or grant administration - and presentation of research at professional conferences. Other responsibilities include participation in departmental, college, university and community service.
PhD in speech-language pathology, communications sciences and disorders, or a closely-related field. ABD will be considered with evidence of degree completion by the employment date.
• American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
• Eligibility for New Mexico SLP license
• Teaching and research interests that include (but are not limited to); motor-speech disorders, bilingualism, AAC, craniofacial anomalies, and dysphagia.
• Candidates must show an active research and publication capacity. Applicants with published work and/or refereed presentations preferred.
