The School of Communication Science and Disorders at Florida State University invites applications for the position of Associate Professor beginning Fall 2020. Qualifications include: (a) earned doctorate in communication sciences and disorders or related areas, (b) strong record of teaching, (c) established program of research, (d) history of external funding or clear indication of potential to obtain funding, and (e) clinical certification is preferred, but not required. This is a full-time, tenure-track position, with a 9-month appointment; academic year requirements include teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, research and service. Area of expertise is open but candidates with interests in dysphagia, neurogenics, or speech science are encouraged to apply.

The environment is highly collaborative with faculty members who have intersecting research interests that include many aspects of clinical, translational, and basic research. The School is located in a remodeled stand-alone building with ample space for faculty, research laboratories, and diverse clinical programs. There is an on-site speech, language and hearing clinic that services Tallahassee and the surrounding counties.
