Audiologist - Instructor/Assistant Professor of COMD
The Speech-Language Pathology Program in the School of Allied Health Profession at LSU Health Sciences-Shreveport is accepting applications for an audiologist. This is a full-time (12-month) tenure or clinical track faculty position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to teaching graduate audiology courses, clinical supervision of Speech-Language Pathology students in aural rehabilitation, research, and service (pediatric to geriatric: evaluation and hearing aid dispensing).
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A Master’s degree from an accredited university in audiology or closely related field; or, a doctorate degree from an accredited university in audiology or closely related field.
- ASHA certification in CCC-A.
- Eligibility for Louisiana Licensure.
The Master of Communication Disorders (MCD) education program in speech-language pathology at Louisiana State University-Health Sciences Center, Shreveport is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The program is housed within the Mollie E. Webb Speech & Hearing Center in which graduate students evaluate and treat speech and language problems under close faculty supervision, facilitate aphasia group therapy sessions, and provide programming for young children with communication disorders in two classroom programs.
