Audiology Faculty Position

Nova Southeastern University’s Health Professions Division is expanding with a recent $230 million in investments and endowments. With the new hospital opening in late 2021 on the NSU Fort Lauderdale campus, the Audiology Department announces the availability for an audiology faculty position. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Audiology or Communication Sciences are desired, but those who are ABD or hold a similar doctoral degree, such as an AuD, will be considered; applicants must be eligible for Florida Audiology licensure. A minimum of three years of clinical experience is required, five years is preferred. Area of specialization in amplification is preferred; however, other areas of expertise will be considered. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in and dedication to scholarly activity, teaching, service and to interact well with colleagues and students. Our current faculty carry an eight-credit load per semester, which can be split amongst teaching, clinical precepting, and scholarly activity (with appropriate grant funding).

The Audiology Department is a part of the NSU Health Professions Division along with other first-professional degree programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Optometry. The Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences has 27-degree programs across the seven regional campuses. A unique feature of this program is that Audiology is an independent department within the college. The department offers a clinically focused AuD program, which is currently in its 22nd year.
