The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking to fill a full-time limited term

appointment as a Research and Clinical Outreach Coordinator for the Augmentative and Alternative

The responsibilities of the position include the following: (1) To coordinate the Penn State AAC clinical

program to improve outcomes for individuals with complex communication needs and their families; (2) To

provide clinical teaching for graduate students in AAC; (3) To contribute actively to research in AAC; and

(4) To support outreach activities to improve outcomes for individuals who use AAC and their families.

This position requires a graduate degree in speech language pathology as well as ASHA certification

(CCC-SLP). The successful candidate must be able to meet and comply with all applicable health and

safety requirements in all research and other work settings. Relevant experience in AAC is also required.

The ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff is essential. Salary will be competitive,
