DISCIPLINE Speech-Language Pathology TYPE Clinic Director

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Health and Human Services, at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) invites application for the  position of Director for the CSD Clinical programs. UNH is the flagship institution of the University System of New Hampshire and the sole program conferring degrees in speech-
language pathology. Our program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

The Clinic Director will join an innovative and creative faculty that provides clinical education in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Clinical education and services are provided in both the campus-based UNH Speech-Language-Hearing Center and at satellite locations throughout surrounding communities.
The Clinic Director position is a 9-month clinical faculty appointment with eligibility for additional summer funding.

The Clinical Director’s primary responsibilities are focused on the coordination of graduate students’ clinical education as well as facilitating integration of clinical, academic, and research activities within the department.

The director works closely with CSD Clinical Faculty and off-campus (externship) clinical supervisors to provide experiences which foster the graduate students’ knowledge and skills required to meet ASHA certification standards. Additional responsibilities include development of new clinical affiliations, supporting departmental research efforts, overseeing accreditation processes, and contributing to fiscal management and program development.

University service and teaching may be included as needed.
