The College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University invites applicants to join an active and growing Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program.  We are seeking a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor for a 12-month, full time, non-tenure position in the Doctor of Audiology Program. Incoming rank of assistant or associate professor will be determined based on prior experience.  This appointment is expected to begin May 1, 2020.  This is a fixed-term appointment that is renewable annually.  Subsequent one-year appointments will be offered, under the same terms and conditions, at the discretion of the college and university. 


Responsibilities include providing a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients, supervising AuD students in our in-house clinic, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Audiology or related topics, and participating in clinic/program service activities in the development and/or expansion of services within the clinic in the AuD program. 


This position will also have the opportunity to work with faculty across the college to assist with the college’s Grand Challenges, which are some of the most complex and difficult health challenges facing Arizona. Each Grand Challenge is huge in scope and requires translational research, transformative collaboration and innovation. The college’s Grand Challenges are the following: promoting healthy lifestyles, improving mental health, and reducing barriers to health and health care. We are particularly interested in making an impact on populations with significant health disparities, such as veterans and people experiencing homelessness.

About the Doctor of Audiology Program

This highly ranked program in Audiology offers students a range of clinical and research opportunities as well as training that lead to an AuD and/or PhD degree. The AuD program is housed in a state-of-the-art facility on the main campus of ASU in Tempe Arizona.

Our programs are offered at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, West and Lake Havasu campuses, as well as on Mayo Clinic’s Scottsdale campus.

Required Qualifications


AuD or PhD in Audiology from an accredited program and university;

Eligible for audiology licensure in Arizona

At least 3 years of clinical experience in audiology that includes direct clinical service appropriate for rank


Desired Qualifications

Certificate of Clinical Competence

Interest in cochlear implants and/or amplification experience;

Working knowledge of ASHA and CAPCSD professional competencies and standards

Clinical experience supervising graduate students

Experience providing bilingual services, Spanish/English preferred

University and/or clinical teaching experience

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners
