Clinical Assistant Professor
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, a CAA-accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the University of Houston, seeks applicants for a twelve- month, non-tenure-track clinical faculty position, effective Fall 2020. Clinical faculty are full members of the department faculty and are expected to demonstrate excellence in the areas of clinical practice and education. The department supports faculty through opportunities for clinical research and professional development, and promotes engagement regionally, nationally, and internationally. Minimum qualifications include: earned doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, ASHA clinical certification and current eligibility for Texas state licensing as clinical SLP, three years direct clinical experience in SLP, documented completion of ASHA continuing education requirement for supervision. Responsibilities include providing SLP services and clinical education in a university speech-language-hearing clinic and teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in communication sciences & disorders.
