Clinical Assistant Professor
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at Purdue University invites applications from candidates holding the equivalent of a Master’s Degree or higher in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences or a closely related field for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position is a full-time, 9-month promotable non-tenure track appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2023.
The Department of SLHS (http:/www.purdue.edu/hhs/slhs/) is a national leader in clinical education and research, and offers undergraduate, accredited graduate (MS-SLP, AuD), and PhD degrees. Clinical faculty are full members of the SLHS faculty with full voting rights and multi-year renewable contracts. Clinical faculty are eligible for promotion through the ranks (assistant, associate, and full). The Department and College support faculty through opportunities for interprofessional collaborations and professional development.
Primary responsibilities include teaching and directing experiential learning at the undergraduate level, scholarship of teaching and learning, and engagement in service at the campus, community, or national levels. Three years of practical or professional experience in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences or relevant applied experiences are required. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity of the academic community and to fostering belonging.
