Clinical Assistant Professor
The College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University invites applications for a faculty position in the Speech-Language Pathology Program in Glendale, Arizona. Faculty with clinical expertise in bilingual language disorders, early intervention, pediatric dysphagia, interprofessional practice, adult cognitive and communication disorders, and/or augmentative and alternative communication are encouraged to apply. Clinical education experience supervising students working with both adults and pediatric clients is preferred.
The graduate program offers the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree. A faculty member in the Speech-Language Pathology Program has responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities will include engaging in clinical education at the Midwestern University Speech-Language Institute, and may include designing and directing academic courses.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related area and evidence the potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship. A Ph.D. or SLPD is preferred. Candidates must hold certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA CCC-SLP), and must hold or be eligible for state licensure in Arizona. Prior University clinical teaching experience, scholarly productivity, and professional service will enhance the candidate’s application. Salary and benefits are competitive.
