Job Description
The successful candidate will serve as clinical faculty in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Idaho State University in Meridian, Idaho. The anticipated start date for this position is August 15, 2022. Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical teaching in the Speech-Language Clinic on the Meridian campus
- Student advising
- Supervision at community health fairs and other screening venues
- Serving on committees at all levels
- Recruiting clients to our clinics, primarily from the pediatric population
- Involvement in creative scholarship as appropriate to clinical faculty position
- Based on experience and interest, the individual may also teach undergraduate classes in the future
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility for Idaho license in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP
- Three years full-time or equivalent experience after earning CCC-SLP
- Potential for excellence in providing clinical supervision and mentoring of students
- Demonstrated success in team situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with pediatric population across variety of communication disorders
- Experience supervising university students in the clinical setting
- Experience in university teaching and clinical research
- Demonstrated professional leadership
