The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at North Carolina Central University is seeking a full-time Clinical Director/Clinical Associate Professor. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate with campus and community-based clinical supervisors to provide clinical experiences that foster and provide the graduate students’ necessary knowledge, skills, and clinical hours required to meet ASHA certification and North Carolina licensure standards in Speech-Language Pathology. The Clinical Director/Clinical Associate Professor will teach, advise, and supervise students in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. This position will also help the program maintain accreditation by the Council for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Pathology. Duties of the position include but are not limited to the overall management of the clinical education portion of the Department, directing clinic activities, placements, and services for the on-campus North Carolina Central University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, managing and mentoring clinical faculty, coordinating and managing community-based practicum placements, providing clinical training and supervision to graduate students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders teaching the clinical practicum course, and engaging/collaborating in scholarly work and service.
