Position Title: Clinical Educator of Speech-Language Pathology
Position Description: The Department of Speech Pathology at Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) invites applicants for a Clinical Educator of Speech-Language Pathology staff position commencing immediately. The ideal candidate will have at least a Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology. Specialty in medically-based Speech-Language Pathology related disorders in both adult and pediatric populations are desirable. The successful applicant will teach both graduate and undergraduate clinical courses and will supervise masters and undergraduate students as they engage in clinical practicum activities on and off-campus. Supervision will be the primary responsibility of the successful applicant. Candidates should be prepared to manage both in-house and off-campus clinical sites, oversee clinical supervisors, supervise the clinic and teach graduate and/or undergraduate speech pathology courses in their area of specialty. In additional faculty responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, service and collegiality. Candidates with strong multi-cultural competencies and dedication to enhancing equity and social justice are especially encouraged to apply. An ideal candidate will be dedicated to excellence in teaching; will have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and will have demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students. The Department of Speech Pathology is especially interested in exceptionally well qualified candidates who will contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
