Clinical Faculty - Speech Language Pathology Program
Responsibilities: The DePaul University Speech Language Pathology Program is seeking to recruit outstanding applicants for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor position. Preference will be given to multilingual candidates who will develop new educational programming for multilingual/multicultural populations that infuse cultural linguistic diversity into teaching, clinical research, outreach, and community engagement; develop a multilingual/multicultural clinical caseload of direct services while supporting clinical instruction; provide clinical supervision to students in the M.S. Speech-Language Pathology Program; and contribute to departmental service.
The Speech Language Pathology Program at DePaul University anticipates welcoming their inaugural cohort of student into their M.S. Program in the Fall of 2021. The program is located in the heart of Chicago at the Lincoln Park campus.
The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. The college includes programs in mathematics, psychology, physics and astrophysics, environmental science and studies, chemistry and biochemistry, biology, neuroscience, health sciences and nursing. While the university is large, the class size in the department typically does not exceed 40 students. We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of effectiveness as the instructor for a variety of courses or teaching environments, ability to teach graduate level courses in analysis and/or applied mathematics, a demonstrated commitment to continued development as an educator, and active engagement in high-quality research.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a terminal degree in Speech-Language Pathology, have certification from the American Speech-language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and be eligible for an Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License and an Illinois Professional Educator License.
Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of full-time academic clinical experiences is preferred, as well as previous experience with clinical supervision instruction of graduate students, with clinical expertise in the area of multilingual/multicultural populations. Proficiency in English and one other language, preferably proficiency in Spanish.
