Director, School of Speech and Hearing Sciences
The University of Southern Mississippi seeks a full-time (12 month) Director, School of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The School is located on the Hattiesburg, Mississippi campus and is administratively housed under the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Job Summary: The incumbent functions as the administrative leader of the School and is responsible for all teaching/workload assignments necessary to carry out the School's clinical and educational missions. The Director is responsible for the budgetary and administrative oversight of the academic and clinical programs housed in the school.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in a professional field related to speech pathology or audiology. Able to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in speech pathology or audiology or related field. ASHA clinical certification in either Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology. Experience as a Department chair, school director, or program director.
