Rocky Mountain University of Helath Professions is recruiting for a Full-Time, open rank faculty position. We are , a private, graudate school dedicated to health care education loacted in the beautiful Wasatch Mountain range in Provo, Utah, about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City. We are a medically focused program and we have a well-integrated, collegial faculty. Our University is progressive and has dynamic leadership, with streamlined administration procedures.
POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for sharing knowledge and experience with graduate students in this program
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communication a. Models effective oral and written communication that engages the students, administration, staff, and faculty b. Participates in regularly scheduled program and University meetings
2. Student Instruction and Curriculum Management
a. Gives interactive lectures, facilitates group discussion, uses technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students
b. Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weights the distribution of various evaluation categories.
c. Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. d. Regularly assesses each course and the instruction that is offered.
e. Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provides timely feedback to students.
f. Provides academic advisement and support to students.

4. Other Responsibilities
a. Is actively involved in scholarly activities and/or clinical practice
b. Assumes responsibility for related duties
Education/Certification:Clinical doctorate, EdD, or PhD in speech-language pathology or closely related field from an accredited university Earned ASHA CCC-SLP, eligibility for Utah state license (Speech Language Pathologist)
Experience Required:Minimum 2 years of speech-language pathology clinical experience
Experience in teaching in higher education History of scholarly activities
Experience in university service Member of state/regional/national SLP organizations
Excellent research skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail; and advanced teaching skills Strong written and oral communication abilities Computer skill proficiency in word processing, accessing internet sources, electronic communication, and applications for teaching PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND
