The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, an innovative and growing program at the University of New Hampshire, invites applications for an open-rank tenure track position. The successful candidate will join us in continuing to develop dynamic, unique, and rigorous clinical, educational and research programs that advance the field and improve the lives of individuals with communication needs and disorders. The department, college and university are committed to growth, including bringing in top scholars in communication sciences and disorders. To this end, we have hired four tenure track faculty members in the past five years, each of whom has established an active research laboratory. We are building areas of excellence in learning theory and neural plasticity, cognitive and motor control, acoustics, including prosody, and social-communication. We also have re-designed the undergraduate and graduate curricula to increase the program’s rigor. This is truly an exciting time for us, and new faculty will be expected to build upon and contribute to our growth. The anticipated start date for this position will be Fall 2021. Tenure track faculty are responsible for developing an independent program of research, instructing courses, and providing service to the department and university. Successful candidates are expected to assume leadership roles working with current faculty to establish and implement a Departmental vision consistent with the University and College of Health and Human Services evolving strategic planning and goals.
