Speech-Language Pathology

Department of Linguistics and Communication Disorders


The Department of Linguistics & Communication Disorders seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track professorial line with expertise in communication sciences and disorders for a 10-month appointment to begin

Fall 2023. 


The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in communication sciences and disorders; conduct an active research program in area of expertise; and provide service to the department and the college.


Required Qualifications

  • Earned Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field with expertise in speech and language disorders
  • CCC-SLP  
  • Evidence of strong research potential 


Preferred qualifications

  • Concentration in voice, fluency, AAC, and/or language-learning disabilities 
  • Research and/or clinical experience in bilingualism and linguistic diversity 
  • Prior college teaching and clinical experience 
  • Commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion 
  • Commitment to interprofessional education
