Preparing Future Faculty - Faculty Diversity Postdoctoral Program
The University of Missouri's PFFFD Postdoctoral Program is designed to develop scholars for tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants should demonstrate how they can contribute to faculty diversity, such as through membership in a group that is historically underrepresented or through other experience. Postdoctoral positions are typically for two years and provide research, teaching, and professional development opportunities. We are seeking a scholar in speech, language and hearing sciences, in the areas of child language development and disorders, phonology, and/or voice. Applicants with CCC-SLP are preferred. The Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences has a strong research culture, with research mentorship occurring at all levels, from undergraduate to doctoral students and post-doctoral trainees. In addition, researchers have access to a range of centers and institutes, including the University’s Child Development Lab, Brain Imaging Center, and Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Please see the call for applications (https://gradschool.missouri.edu/postdoctoral-education/preparing-future-faculty-postdoctoral-program-for-faculty-diversity/) for more details about the program and application process. General questions about the PFFFD program can be directed to Dr. Behm-Morawitz, Associate Dean of the Graduate School (postdoc@Missouri.edu). If you have any questions about applying to the speech, language and hearing sciences area, specifically, please contact Dr. Stacy Wagovich (email@example.com), Chair, Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.
