Program Director – Speech-Language Pathology (Tenure-Track Associate Professor or Professor)
The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for the position of director of the speech-language pathology program. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and college promotion and tenure criteria.

The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month faculty position, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are searching for a team-oriented faculty member. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The faculty member will report to the Chair in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology and will have primary responsibilities of managing the M.S. program in speech-language pathology, teaching M.S. and Ph.D. courses; advising graduate students; directing student research; conducting scholarly activity; and participating in university, community and professional service.
1. Doctorate degree in communication sciences and disorders or related field
2. Eligibility for CCC-SLP
3. Eligibility for licensure in the state of Arkansas
4. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Academic setting
5. Strong commitment to fulfill mission of the department, college, and university
1. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: child language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AAC, voice, fluency, and/or dysphagia
2. Minimum of five-years of experience as a speech-language pathologist
3. Minimum of three-years teaching and student supervision experience at a University or college
4. Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders
5. Ability to develop and conduct an externally-funded research program
6. Administrative experience in a university setting
7. Familiarity with ASHA and CAA training program requirements
