DISCIPLINE Speech-Language Pathology TYPE Faculty

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) invites applications for a nine-month Teaching Assistant Professor in speech-language pathology with a start date of August 15, 2019. This position would be for the 2019-2020 academic year, with the potential for continuance. Open to all areas of speech-language pathology, with preference given to those with expertise and/or experience in the evaluation and treatment of school-age children with speech and language disorders.

• Academic and clinical instruction related to areas of expertise.
• Assistance in the development of an online master’s speech-language pathology program including research related to adult learning and effective clinical training practices in the online format.
• Participate in service to the department as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ABD, clinical doctorate, or earned terminal degree (i.e., Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in speech-language pathology or related field.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current licensure in West Virginia or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.


Salary and start-up funds are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
