The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) invites applications for an open-rank tenure-system position in our Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing. Successful candidates will join the existing speech-language-hearing scientific programs in facilities located at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders. Applicants with interests across the spectrum of basic, applied, and clinical research in speech-language are encouraged; clinical and translational research programs are facilitated by on-site state-of-the-art clinical programs that serve approximately 4,000 patients annually. The successful candidate will build their independent research program and collaborate with colleagues at the Callier Center, the Center for Children and Families, the Center for BrainHealth, and/or the Center for Vital Longevity. The new hire will be expected to teach Speech-Language courses within their area of expertise at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as doctoral seminars broadly related to speech or language science.

 Applicants should hold a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences; or a related field (Linguistics, Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, and/or Engineering); and show evidence of a dynamic and productive research program with clear potential for funding. Applicants from all areas of speech and language science will be considered. Priority will be given to candidates with research focused on childhood language disorders, including for example developmental language disorder, spoken and written language deficits, and language intervention. Clinical credentials are preferred but not required.
