DISCIPLINE Speech-Language Pathology

The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at Augustana College invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position. The position begins August, 2021 and includes graduate and undergraduate teaching and advising, scholarship, and campus service responsibilities. 


The Augustana CSD department has a well-established undergraduate program and a new graduate program. The MS-SLP program at Augustana College is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 


Preference will be given to candidates who hold a doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field by the time of employment. Candidates with a variety of expertise areas are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to individuals with a background in adult neurogenic disorders or child speech sound disorders. Candidates will be evaluated on their potential for teaching excellence; commitment to clinically-focused graduate and undergraduate teaching; potential to engage undergraduate and graduate students in an active research agenda; and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
