Tenure track faculty position/audiology
Samford University’s School of Health Professions invites applicants interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This tenure-track faculty position is a 12-month appointment. Start date is negotiable.
Qualified candidates will be graduates from an accredited university must hold either: 1) an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in a speech, hearing, or related field; or 2) an AuD and an Ed.D. or Ph.D in any field. Preferred applicants will have prior experience teaching in an accredited AuD program, who have an active research interest, and who have experience in amplification. Candidates should have current knowledge of clinical teaching models, well-defined computer literacy skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and dedication to the success of the department, faculty, and student body as evidenced by a collegial and positive demeanor. A commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and colleagues is expected. Candidates must be willing to support the Christian mission of Samford University and the College of Health Sciences.
Academic rank, tenure status and salary are dependent upon qualifications, clinical experiences, previous academic teaching experiences, and scholarship accomplishments.
The College of Health Sciences is a new and innovative initiative for Samford University. The College includes four schools: Ida Moffett School of Nursing, McWhorter School of Pharmacy, School of Health Professions and School of Public Health. The college offers multiple degree programs and majors within the health sciences with an inter-professional education focus that reflects today’s team approach to health care delivery and professional practice.
