JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at Augustana College invites applicants for two tenure-track, open rank positions.  One position begins June, 2020 and is for a 12 month clinic director that includes teaching and clinical supervision responsibilities.  A second 10-month position begins August, 2020 and includes graduate and undergraduate teaching and advising.  Both positions require scholarship and campus service responsibilities.
The Augustana CSD department has a well-established undergraduate program and is an Applicant for Candidacy by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association.   For over seven decades, undergraduate CSD students have completed practicum experiences in the Augustana College Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing that serves a diverse caseload of over 100 clients each semester.  All undergraduate seniors complete a substantial research project.

REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field by the time of employment.  Current ASHA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure) and clinical supervision experience are required for the clinic director position.  Candidates with a variety of expertise areas are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to individuals with a background in adult neurogenic disorders or speech sound disorders.
